Join Bruce Byers for 2 1/2 days in the historical town of Old Lyme, CT. We will stay at the Old Lyme Inn and photograph in the historical town and along the seashore of Long Island Sound. With camera in hand or, even your cell phone, Bruce will help you bring your photography to the next level. Bruce has been behind the camera for over 35 years, walking the streets of the USA and the world. He will be very hands on to make you feel comfortable with your equipment and to allowing you to create memorable photographs.
This workshop is for all levels of photographers and those interested in photography.
There will be a good deal of one-on-one work along with responding to Bruce’s prompts and he will help you develop them. Each day will be filled with creating, sharing images we all created and photography talks.
As head photographer and owner of Camera Odysseys, Bruce has guided and taught photographers of all levels to “See with their eyes and capture with their cameras” and have lots of fun doing it.
Bruce will be there early on Monday till late on Wednesday for those that would like to talk and create photography.

Bruce will also offer private one on ones after the workshop ends if you plan to stay longer.

$625 per person, all inclusive. Single in room
2 people in the room ( only 1 bed in each room )
$1100 ($200 discount)
For those bringing non-workshops partners in room
$900 ($400 discount)
Check in to the Inn at 11 am.
If you are local, workshop starts at 2pm on Monday at the inn.
The Old Lyme Inn is located in a wonderful part of CT where there is plenty of things to do. Plan to come early and stay past the workshop.
Monday July 12th:
11am Check-in for those staying at the Inn.
12:30: Lunch at the Inn
Workshop starts at the Old Lyme Inn at 2 PM.
Get to know each other and do a quick check of our camera equipment.
We will talk ideas and also find out interest in the group.
4PM Head to shoreline for sunset.
Dinner at the Inn
Look over images created during the afternoon.
Tuesday July 13th:
6 am Breakfast at the Inn.
6:30 Leave hotel for the shore.
We will work with early light, landscape and sea shore images. There will be lots of photography talk as Bruce will be very hands on to discuss what and how you are creating.
12:30 Lunch at the Inn, where we will go over the days images.
1:30 Afternoon workshop will deal with portraiture. We will have a group of interesting models to work with.

After dinner, look over what we have created and plan out Wednesday.
Wednesday July 14th:
7:30 Breakfast at the Inn.
8:00 head out to photograph.
Today we will head early to an old train yard for color and texture. We will ride the train and work with moving light.
We will head back to the Inn for lunch, depending on the train ride and shooting in the yard.
After lunch we will walk through the nearby woods for nature work. Bruce will take the time to go over the last 2 days of the workshop to help you continue to improve your work even more.
Workshop ends at 3pm
Bruce will be available after the end of the workshop to do a photowalk to talk about your photography and help you continue your work for those who are staying on.
